Upcoming Trail Clearing Events
Join the Trees & Trails Foundation for upcoming trail clearing events! We are seeking volunteers to help remove invasive plants and maintain the bridle trails in the Village. Whether you are a rider, resident, or friend who wants to support our green areas, we welcome you to join us as we hike the bridle trails to clear brush, remove fallen limbs and trees, and make repairs to the trail paths. If you have never been on the trails, it’s a great way to see them and enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes in the Village.
Pete McAdams, VP of the Indian Hill Equestrian Club, will be leading groups on the third Saturday of every month through September. The volunteer sessions run from 8:30-11:30 but we appreciate any time you can spare.
Currently, volunteer sessions are scheduled for
Saturday, April 20
Saturday, May 18
Saturday, June 15
Saturday, July 20
Saturday, August 17
Saturday, September 21
What to bring:
Tools: Most hand tools are welcome – loppers, trail saws, weed eaters, gas or battery-powered hedge trimmers, and chainsaws are most common and helpful. We strongly recommend protective eyewear and safety chaps for chainsaw users.
Clothing: Jeans or other durable pants and waterproof boots or hiking shoes are recommended. Also bring gloves, bug spray & water to drink on the trail.
